Lucknow

Hi everyone,

I have recently shifted from my hometown to Lucknow for further studies and here’s something I learnt from this city in past few months

Lucknow is the capital city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow, popularly known as The City of Nawabs, has always been a multicultural city that flourished as a cultural and artistic capital of North India in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is also known as the Golden City of the East, Shiraz-i-Hind and The Constantinople of India.

The best thing about this city is the taste it gives you and the variety it has, Even the name of the dishes are mouthwatering I have tried a lot of food stuffs here and trust me none of them disappointed me.

According to my perspective Lucknavi cuisine is the most authentic in the India. If you are a non-vegetarian this place is heaven for you.

Mutton Korma.

Tandoori Lamb Chops.

Malabar Fish Biryani.

Keema Samosa with Yoghurt Dip.

Curried Parmesan Fish Fingers.

Chicken 65.

These are some of the dishes you must try when you visit lucknow.

And if you are not much in the dishes you will love the way how people address you here that’s tehzeeb-e-lucknow and having a smile on your face here is necessary “Muskuraiye aap Lucknow mei hain”

I am so much in love with this city that I started considering this city as my hometown, I know more about lucknow than my hometown.

Nightlife in Lucknow

Security shouldn’t be a concern whatsoever. Lucknow is the capital, is pretty safe.

As far as the nightlife is concerned, it’s almost nonexistent. There are some lounges/discs that remain open up till 1-2 AM. But apart from that, there aren’t many other things you’ll find here.

But having said that, there are some absolutely amazing spots to hang out where you can chill at night. So if you have a group of people accompanying you, Lucknow might just cut it for you.

And I know I might be a little obvious stating this, but yes, multiplexes do have shows that go on till 3 AM.
