Hi there,
Recently I brought a Remote controlled car which was good but from my point of view, it needed to be modified as it was not so attractive. Logically I knew that it will not be too attractive as I bought it for just 10$. But on another hand, the facilities provided by the car manufacturers were good as they provided 3xAA rechargeable batteries 700mah each, and a charger with it the body of the car was made of hard plastic and it was very durable as I tried many things with it, for example, I tried jumps from 2fts. And it didn’t cause a single scratch on the car :0 But still, it needed to be modified.
Before entering the workshop I made a planned detail of what should I add? And what should I remove?
Keeping the car size shape and durability in the mind, I made the plan which included Adding led lights near the tires of the car so that it would look like that car has neon lights installed in it. And I decided to remove the 2-way switch and in place of that, I should add 3-way switch which will enable the car to work in three modes.
1.On mode
2.Off mode
3.Charging mode
Decision…
And I decided to buy 1200mah batteries for the car which will enable the car to work to run for a long time because earlier the manufactures provided 700mah batteries which were discharged within 10 to 12 minutes. Replacing 700mah batteries with 1200mah will not only increase the battery life but also the efficiency of the car. I was planning to add a small wifi camera but the car didn’t have much space so I dropped the plan.
Making the tools ready
1.Soldering iron
2.Glue gun
3.2xled
4.Screwdriver
5.3-way switch
6.Nuts and bolts
GETTING STARTED:
I started by removing the nuts from the car and…
What I found is…
First I took some time to understand the schematic as soon as I got to know it started adding LEDs and switch to it. and I added batteries to it and it worked super fine.
Now it was the time to assemble the shield and Just TEST IT.
Finally modified.
